Dr Johanna Bruger
Clinical Psychologist
Johanna is a Clinical Psychologist who works with individuals of all ages to support and improve their mental health. She provides specialist assessments, individualized formulations, and tailored, evidence-based psychological interventions.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Systemic Therapy.
Bilingual in English and German, Johanna offers therapy in both languages. She has extensive experience within the NHS, working across inpatient and outpatient settings with children, adults, and older adults presenting with complex mental health challenges. Johanna is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC; Registration Number: PYL039119).
Her academic background includes a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East Anglia, an MSc in Organisational Psychology from the University of Manchester, and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Glasgow.
Her clinical specialties include depression, anxiety disorders, stress, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, self-harm, psychological difficulties related to physical health conditions and psychosomatic illness, as well as neuropsychological assessments.
